No experience necessary for introductory scuba diving! Scuba Dive the outer Great Barrier Reef onboard Evolution, the newest, fastest, and most luxurious reef vessel in Cairns. The best value introductory scuba diving cairns day tour.
Introductory dives are for those who are not certified and want to experience scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef.
That’s right, if you have never dived before, and have always wished to experience first-hand the beauty of the underwater world you can arrange an Introductory dive with one of our friendly and professional Instructors.
Through the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program, you will be taught all the basic skills required to dive down to a depth of up to 12 metres while accompanied by one of our experienced PADI qualified instructors. Divers are broken up into small groups of 4 people, are always guided and the experience lasts up to 20 minutes giving you time to feel comfortable and begin to enjoy your first dive on the Great Barrier Reef.
Evolution's massive back deck, combined with specially designed fold-out 'Wings' which to provide more space, comfort, and safety for our guests as they enter the water.
Lycra suits and wet suits are included free of charge for divers.
We choose two unique outer reef locations on the day based on water clarity and weather conditions to give you the best great barrier reef trip! All of our reef sites are a haven of marine life, turtles, colourful fish, and thriving coral colonies, offering an abundance of diverse areas to explore for both snorkelers and scuba divers.
All divers must complete an Introductory and Certified Diver Medical Declaration.
In our commitment to the safety of our guests, divers over 65 years (or 45 years for PADI dive courses) must have a medical clearance with a physician the confirms they are Fit To Dive. This can be provided by your own GP before you leave for your holiday.
Certain medical conditions (e.g. asthma, heart disease, diabetes) and ANY prescription medications will require a letter or email from a doctor clearing you to dive. This clearance must state your full name, the doctors name and practice and the clearance to dive for the specific medications/condition. Please review our Medical Questionnaire and Terms & Conditions prior to travel.
Scuba diving can be strenuous under certain conditions. Your respiratory and circulatory systems must be in good health. All body spaces must be normal and healthy.
In the interests of safety, we recommend no flying within 24hours of the last dive. You will not be allowed to dive until you are declared medically fit to dive. For advice please contact our office directly.
Minimum age for Introductory divers: 12+ years.
"We had the most fantastic day on the reef! The crew were amazing, so friendly and helpful! My daughter scuba dived for the first time, which she loved so much she went back a second time! They take you to 2 different reefs, both of them were beautiful. Can highly recommend this cruise, excellent value for money" - yololovetotravel via TripAdvisor
